Wandalan Pty Ltd (ACN 60 070 517 878) was incorporated in mid 1995 as the Australian Distributor for Transcript Analyser for Windows. It's Managing Director Garth Holmes was employed by the Judicial Commission of NSW for eight years, the last five and a half of which as the Manager of Computer Education. His principal role was the development of computer training courses which would enable the NSW Judiciary to develop computer skills.
During the course of this training, he developed an in depth understanding of the Judicial requirement for Evidence Management in transcript. This led to the development of the first widely used transcript management system for complex cases.
When offered the opportunity in 1995 to take that knowledge into the private sector with the distribution rights for Transcript Analyser, Wandalan began.
In 1998 Wandalan purchased the source code for Transcript Analyser and have gone on to develop the most successful in court evidence management systems available.
Wandalan's products are used by over 65% of the Judiciary in Australia.
